L'AMI JEAN。去年到巴黎的時候﹐就很希望到這一間餐廳去。
當然﹐又是TIMEOUT的介紹。自搬到歐洲生活後﹐我成為了這間倫敦旅遊出版社的忠實信徒。因為我發現﹐他們的口味跟我很相似。他們大力推介的﹐都是我喜歡的。
可惜﹐因為沒有聽從TIMEOUT忠告﹐預早訂位﹐縱然一到黃昏便立即去吃晚餐﹐我們得到的回覆是﹕「今天晚上﹐我們全廳滿座。」由於﹐他們逢週日﹑週一休息﹐那就表示我們要留待下次方能光顧這一間如此受歡迎的餐廳。
於是﹐今年到花都的其中一個任務﹐便是要嚐一嚐這間餐廳。
有見他們如此受歡迎﹐我便決定提早兩個星期撥個長途電話去訂座。
可是﹐不知道是否天意﹐幾次電話的另一端都沒有人接聽。是連續數天。我心裡想﹐難道他們敵不了這個金融海嘯﹖不過﹐假如倒閉了﹐電話就不可能接通。所以﹐我決定不斷嘗試。
終於等候到有人接聽﹐是起行到巴黎去四天前的事情。
不過﹐他們太晚接聽我的電話了。原來﹐整個週末的座位都已經給訂滿。
「真的沒有一個時段有兩個空位﹖」我盡力作最後嘗試。
「真的所有座位都給訂滿了。」我聽到對方無奈地回答。
於是﹐又要把這個節目留待下一年到巴黎渡週末的時候。
